Oh. Jay. Not the Gruden I would have thought.

Dah well. Bengals need to make some changes anyway. Not the end of the world.

There's a reason Cincy's offense was so good (minus the playoff game and any other game Dalton threw mucho INT's). Gruden is a good OC and may be able to get Washington turned around at least on offense. This hurts Cincy.....
I really thought this was the year Cincy finally turned the corner.......

As an RG III dynasty owner I love it.

Me too.

I'm guessing Gruden is going to find working for Dan Snyder is quite a bit different than working for Mike Brown. Forbes just had a commentary on Mike Brown and declared his most defining trait as an NFL owner to be "Tolerance". Not something I believe Snyder has a lot of. Unfortunately, I don't see anyone having much long term success in Washington with Snyder as an owner.

And here I thought it was all those talented players he had to play with.

So you think a team can just throw a bunch of talented players on the field and PRESTO! Instant offense?

Although now I am hearing they plan on promoting Hue Jackson. Ugh.
Uhm no Snake, but I do think the talented players overcame a lot of bad play calls by Gruden.

I don't buy it. It's almost as if none of the Big Fish wanted to swim with Snyder in his pool, and he settled with Jay.

As long as Snyder is the owner, Washington is doomed.
This.

I'd be more upset if Mike Zimmer takes a HC job.

Glad the Vikings didn't get Gruden. Then again, I'm not thrilled with any of the other prospects so far. Cowher is my choice, but he's not un-retiring.

I think this is a pretty common opinion among Bengal fans. His play calling was his biggest issue as OC. I've also heard lots of comments about him being too "soft". Not sure if that is really a problem, but Hue Jackson seems to be more hard-nosed. Although, I can't exactly say I'm excited about Hue.
As Wiley stated, I'm much more worried about Mike Zimmer leaving. Lots of rumors about him going to the Vikings. Losing Zim would probably be the worst thing to happen to this team in the off-season. Even with the multitude of injuries (many to key players) on the defense, they were still top ten.

As usual, the Browns are standing around with the thumb firmly implanted in their ass while all the coaches are snapped up.
