Love what the Packers did with the draft.......having had Davante on my college team I  know what he's capable of and this fit is PERFECT.  He has a high ceiling on this team.

Abbrederis is just the right amount of scrappy ball player.....Packers fans are going to love him (not that they don't already since he was a Badger).  He TORCHED Ohio State last year.....not that that is saying much but this guy is going to make plays.

Janis is one of those longshots that will either pay huge dividends or he's playing dodge ball with his 5th grade students next year.

I'm with Razor on Cleveland......started great and just flopped. I thought sure Marqise Lee was gone to them and they passed. Jordan Mathews would have been good too.  With nobody to throw to it's a good thing Manziel is mobile!  Run around until Jordan Cameron gets open?

From what I have read, Hoyer will most likely start and Manziel will learn for a year.  I think they stuck to their draft plan to a fault.  Hopefully, they have a big picture plan (for once).  This front office does seem better than past ones.  I am with you though, when Lee was still there, I was thinking it was a no-brainer.

Should be in good shape for next years draft.  Just think if the Bill's tank and the Browns suck as usual.  Two top ten picks.  Sad that I am already looking forward to next year.

All the Wisconsin Badgers ended up in pretty damn good situations:

Jared Abbrederis - Green Bay Packers - (As discussed)

Dez Southward - Atlanta Falcons - Not sure what Atlanta was thinking in the 3rd round...but good for Southward.

James White - New England Patriots - Chance to compete out of the gate.  I think the Pats got a steal.

Chris Borland - San Francisco 49ers - Again, a steal.  Hard worker.  Goes to a Super Bowl caliber team.

Beau Allen - Philadelphia Eagles - We'll see how this works out.  Value in round 7.

I don't see Manziel sitting.  If so, maybe through Hoyer's first interception.

I hope he sits and learns for a year.  If they are smart they will give him time to adjust....which probably means he will play.

Johnny reminds me a lot of Brett Favre. They learn better by playing the game, not sitting and watching. I don't see the point in sitting him for the

entire year, unless Hoyer is playing well to start the season. Johnny is going to make a lot of mistakes learning the game. Let him play when the

coaches feel he is ready. My fear is the coaches are going to work with him to try to eliminate his mistakes, and in doing so, are going to take away

what makes him special.

Cleveland's line is actually decent.  So, it won't be like having Couch back there.  Plus the fact that Manziel can actually move helps.

Over the past 2 years, 10 QBs have been taken in rounds 1 - 3.  Brock Osweiler is the only one that did not become the starter at some point in his rookie season.

Two years left on Brock's contract.  Wonder if he will be any good...sitting and learning from Manning.

I've always wondered why watching a future HOF quarterback makes the backup better. Matt Flynn has watched ARod for years, and he will always be

Matt Flynn.

Maybe, because, in Green Bay when I saw Brunell, Hasselbeck, Aaron Brooks, and Aaron Rodgers do well (on different levels)...I though tthere was something to it.  I have no idea how good Brock is.  I doubt it is hurting him by watching Manning.  If Brock sucks anyway, watching Manning won't make him a HOFer.  I know nothing of Brock, so its intriguing.

Cleveland owner, tells Manziel, start acting like a backup quarterback.

WTF. They may not want to rush him, but is that really what you want to tell your 1st rd pick?

Just grab a clipboard and be happy being the backup. Nothing like putting out the fire in the kids desire to want to start.

Yeah, that ain't gonna fly.

Listen, Cleveland.  You married the stripper.  Don't start off the marriage by telling her that now you want her to act like a librarian.   Love her for who she is.

Well, they did sign Crowell as well. He could sit between Crowell and Gordon. What could possibly go wrong?

Although, dressing her up like a librarian might not hurt.

Brock is tall (had a basketball scholarship to Gonzaga as well). He is athletic and can move around in the pocket. He can run and extend the play. He's not perfect and had his struggles at ASU, some poor decision making being the key. In that aspect, watching and learning from Peyton can be a benefit. Not that Peyton always makes the best decisions either.
