In case you haven't noticed yet, the Trough has a brand new look at Hogstrough.com. We'll be providing news, rankings, cheatsheets, fantasy advice and more throughout the 2014 season and beyond.  We also have new Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus pages to keep up with the Trough on your favorite social media site.  

 

Please pardon the new construction dust over the next few weeks, there will surely be some kinks we need to work out but we're really excited to kick off the 2014 season with everyone. If you have comments feel free to leave them here, on the blog or just message me directly. 

 

Best of all, everything on the site will be completely FREE... nothing to buy, no memberships to pay for. We'll have a few ads on the site which will help keep the site going (hopefully), but otherwise it's on the house.  

 

Please share with your friends and family... together we'll make the Trough bigger and better than ever!

Yea what JTex said... PigskinAddiction was purchased by a separate group, they have a draft guide which I believe they just released, but our rankings are separate and will be published for free on Hogstrough.com.

Yea I was going to ask around to see if some of the HOGS wanted to participate... I'll count you in for the rankings for sure.  We'll probably have enough for a mock or two once everyone comes out of their summer slumbers

I miss cheatsheet golf, but I don't think I have the coding chops to put that one together.  What are some of the others?  It's been so long since we did them

 

At the end of the season I'll definitely bring back HogBowl for the whole site... we might be able to round up some kind of giveaway for it.  

 

I'd like to do a Daily Fantasy contest (or weekly I guess since its football) every sunday for something cheap like $1 or $2 a piece, but mostly for bragging rights.  Just to get everyone involved and competing.

I ran a game a few years, positional pickem.  gave people a choice of two players by position.   Have to find my spreadsheets to see how i scored it.  Would love to set it up with a database to automate it

The  NFL picks was fun because it was an individual and a team competition.  It might be too soon for a team competition but a weekly pick'em type of game would be fun if it wasn't just a straight picks - so weighted picks or picks against the spread would probably make it a bit more interesting.
