Weak argument. In his two years of playing he really only had 3 bad games. Twice against LSU and he isn't the first to struggle against the LSU defense,

and once against Missouri.

Not really arguing.  If an expert cannot watch every game, my guess is that he picks a certain amount given some criteria.

I totally agree. Manziel did outstanding against Bama twice. I would think that would count highly on his resume.

I'm fine with Jaworski having his own opinion. I just think he needs to elaborate instead of just saying, the kid has not done alot in college.

When he won the Heisman and put up silly numbers. Break down what he doesn't like about him

All the more reason I think JAWs was taken out of context here.  It only makes sense that JAWs point was that Manziel isn't worth the high draft pick Philly would need to invest to get him.  I'm looking at this as "Manziel" only has value to Philly as a later round pick because they already have a starting QB and have more pressing needs at other positions that would require the use of their top picks."

I would not try to change him into a pocket quarterback. What running quarterbacks need to be taught is to live for another day. When they are running

downfield and ready to get blasted. They need to go down and not try to prove they are Superman. Michael Vick has still not learned. Thats one of my

fears with Johnny is he will try to prove his toughness and get those couple extra yards.

Yeah, I'm seeing a Vick comparison right now.  Undersized, lots of great plays that make you go "wow", but not enough "just stand there and deliver the ball" plays to sustain consistent offense long term.  He'll be a guy that will hang around for a while because coaches will think they will be the one to unlock his potential.

Definitely last longer than Tebow.

I did not think this at first, but I am beginning to think he is going to be the first player taken.  Either by Houston or someone trading up.  All along, I thought Bridgewater, but nto anymore.  Possibly Clowney...but still think its Manziel...

The closest comparison I have said along was Jeff Garcia. Garcia was not the pro type NFL quarterback but could throw on the run and was very elusive.

The quarterback that has fallen the most is probably Bridgewater. Not long ago he was the #1 overall pick. But both Bortles and Johnny seemed to have

passed him by.

If it was talent alone, Clowney would be the clear #1 pick, but his work ethic will probably scare some teams away. One moment I love him and the next,

I would trade down and take Kahlil Mack. Clowney is the type of player that could either make or break a GM. I'm not sure I would want to put my job on

the line for him.

I'm thinking Houston goes Clowney with the first pick.

Cleveland is saying they are looking at a different position at 4 than qb.  They would then target qb with their late first rounder.  David Carr is a name that is in the news.....but would they really let their real intentions be known?  The last late round qb they took worked out so well.  Then again it is Cleveland.

I think he will be a great fantasy player for at least 5 years and will make some crazy highlights but I wouldn't want the kid as my franchise quarterback.

Word out of Cleveland is that Hoyer is ahead of schedule and the Browns may be willing to go with him this season.  Apparently, they are enamored with Mariota who will be eligible next year.  Who the hell knows.

I think Bridgewater is the true franchise qb here.  I wouldn't mind seeing Watkins at 4 or trading back and grabbing Evans.  If they are able to sign Tate at RB that would be an instant upgrade on offense.

Mariota would have been a top  pick until he floundered late in the season. If he has a strong season, he will be gone before the Browns pick next season. I keep hearing rumors of Sammy Watkins going to the Browns. If Bridgewater was the 2nd coming of Andrew Luck, I would take him. But I keep

thinking he will closer to Alex Smith than Luck.

This will be the 2nd year in a row that a running back is not drafted in the 1st round.

That streak will be broken in 2015 when Todd Gurley comes out of Georgia.

I agree.  I would love to see Watkins and then gamble with a QB later to push Hoyer.  I just hope they don't fall in the trap of stretching because they feel that a position must be filled a "X" spot.

If they didn't fall in those traps every year, they won't be drafting this high every year.

So after is pro day, Ron Jaworski has done a 180 on Manziel.  He was previously critical of him and said he wouldn't take him in the first 3 rounds.  But now he said he was impressed my Manziel's mechanics and thinks his stock is on the rise.

I think thats even worse. I didn't think Johnny was rated highly on his mechanics. What makes him special is his feel for the pass rush and how he can

make something out of nothing. Jaws was not sold watching play Bama but now he is sold on his mechanics? He needs to take a stance one way or the other. Quit waffling.
